  • UPS driver lied about package delivery

    I received an email saying that an important package had been delivered to my house and left by the front door. But I was doing some front yard work at the time of the supposed delivery.   • UPS Lies

    I missed two attempts to deliver a package that required a signature. Missed delivery slips were taped to my door. The package was to be delivered today and I purposely stayed home all day to wait for the delivery. I checked UPS tracking every few hours. The notice said it was to be delivered today.     I stayed home all day and night awaiting a UPS pickup from my home that was scheduled to occur. No knock on my door, no doorbell ring, No pickup, no tag was left on my door.     I have lived at the same address for 4 years. I have had many packages delivered by UPS. Now they claim they can't find my address. It is called a map.     I was waiting for an important time sensitive delivery all day only to find out that the delivery guy left a note and never knocked don the door.     I purchased a purchased an item from best buy. The item was out of stock and had to be delivered. I sat in my condo all day 15 feet from the front door. I went out at 4 pm and found a notice that UPS tried to deliver it. There is a buzzer to my condo. The idiot failed to use it.     Your UPS Delivery man arrived at my home when I was not home, made threats to my kids! Then proceeded to tell them we will be subjected to an investigation and the police will be involved and he will never deliver to my home again- then made my 14 yo sign something...we have no idea what it was for.     I have 2 UPS Delivery men who work my route. For the life of me, I cannot figure out why I cannot get a package delivered to my home. It does not make a difference if it is Standard or Expedited shipping, the packages do not arrive. Also, there is never an attempt made to deliver the package as there was/is no bell rung nor was there ever a missed delivery slip present.     I'm very mad. Will not go to ups anymore.I took a small flag my grandson had made years ago. I ask the ups store to laminate it. They got it stuck in the machine and said they would call me when they got it unjammed. Had to take off rollers. A week later they called said they were still working on it.     I shipped several boxes from ct to sc. These boxes were severely damaged upon delivery. I called ups to complain. they told me I had to go thru the store I shipped them from. I called the store and they said once the package leaves the store its out of there hands. so basically I got no satisfaction from either avenue. just plain bounce around and the run around. my advise is to use another carrier for your shipping needs. ups doesn't give a shit about your packages or there customer concerns.   • Ups sucks!!

    I swear I don't want ups to deliver not one more package for me. I saw that ups said they delivered my package by constantly checking the status. I never heard a doorbell but when I went to look for my package it wasn't there.   • UPS has ruined Christmas

    I have had the worst time with UPS since we moved. Their trucks are in my neighborhood, Fed Ex makes it to my house, so does the postal service. But not UPS.     The drivers from the Cerritos, CA, Moore Street location have continuously made errors with my packages. The final straw was yesterday 11/19/2014 when they misplaced four of my packages.     I paid the vendor extra for an important document to be delivered quickly. On 5/29/14 the driver attempted delivery. A note was left on my front door.     My fiance and I just received our thousand plus dollar ASUS laptop shipment we ordered two days ago via Amazon Prime, the only problem was that there was no laptop in the box when we opened it.     The sender was sent the package to my agency, that package was content all my information in there.     I had a birth certificate sent from the Department Of Vital Statistics. I was told by the dept. that I would personally have to sign for a personal identification document.     On Feb. 11,2014 I shipped a package by UPS from San Antonio, Tx. to Temple, Tx. to Acer Repair Service. On Feb. 12 Acer Repair Service sent me pictures of my computer and the box it had been shipped in and the box had been busted open and my computer had been busted to pieces.     I paid extra to have a package sent to me overnight because I really needed it. I received an email telling me my package was out for delivery and would be delivered by the end of the day.     MD unemployment card was sent to my address in OR on 12/9/13.Was told 12/12/13 it had been held up by weather but would be delivered by 7pm that day or the next day, Friday 12/13. By the end of the day today, it still had not been delivered.     I had 2 packages that was going to be delivered to me. The first attempt, the delivery guy did not leave an info notice. The second attempt, the delivery guy ring the bell and told me to come downstairs. I came downstairs and he was gone, and this was when he left the info notice. I called UPS customer service on 12/29 to report a UPS driver's inappropriate and threatening behavior. When I requested he slow his driving speed on a private lane, he stated he didn't like how I spoke to him and would come back in the middle of the night to my residence. The tag number: MD 76J 571. Due to the darkness, I was unable to retrieve any other identifying information, such as a name tag. I've warned my neighbors plus contacted the business who used UPS as their delivery service. UPS needs to ensure the safety of customers/public. I also did a follow-up email on 12/30 as the customer service rep I spoke with last evening did not seem to share my same concerns. I have requested an immediate response from UPS re how the situation will be handled.

United Parcel Service in Albuquerque uses the "driver discretion" policy as an excuse to harass customers. I have repeatedly asked them to leave packages on my enclosed porch when I am not at home. UPS Customer Service has put a note on my file asking that packages be left there. Drivers have occasionally complied with this request with no problems whatever. However, the "driver discretion" policy by which a driver can claim he feels a package will not be safe is wide open to abuse, depending on the driver's state of mind and opinion of the receiver. The shipper of my most recent package did not require a signature for delivery, but the driver did. I supplied the signature and left it on the door for him. He then left a second notice requiring that I be at home to give him a signature in person. By what right does he require this? Oh, "driver discretion"! So I called Customer Service, who explained that he does not have to leave the package becasue of "driver discretion". I pointed out that I have paid for the contents of that package, I own it, and I have given my signature, accepting full reponsibility for whatever happens after he leaves it. No, they tell me, the driver is allowed to override my decision concerning my own property. Even though I have lived in this house 14 years and NEVER had a package stolen from the porch (and many have been left there), some young driver's "discretion"(or "feeling", "prejudice", "bad mood" ...)is more important than my long-term knowledge of my living situation.

So today the driver left a third and final notice on my door indicating that the package will not be left for me and will be returned to the sender. So be it. The sender will never use UPS again because of this hassle. I will rememebr to ask everyone who sends me anything NOT to use UPS. Eventually I will still get my package, after it has been re-sent via another shipper.

I can't believe this "driver discretion" policy is legal, at least when used in this punitive manner. I would love to see it challenged in court - this latest experience looks to me much more like malicious harassment than any sort of "discretion".

I was driving on the highway this evening in Missouri and was
almost rear ended by a UPS 18 wheeler truck. The guy driving clearly saw that I needed to merge and as I sped up from 60mph to 65 70 mph he was going at least 80 and not slowing down at all to let me merge. I literaly feared for my life. I honked and honked as much as I could while I sped up to merge. Had I not been able to accelerate so quickly I would have been off the side of the highway. This UPS driver needs to take some driving classes. His license number is P194626..... I'll never forget!! He also just threw his hands up like oh well. That made me even more mad.

A UPS driver ripped open my screen door with such force he snapped the hinge off! He then hurried off without acknowledging or apologizing to the resident for this accident.( I don't think it was intentional)...I made repeated calls to UPS reporting the incident and each time they kept saying they would send someone to photograph the damaged door. Believing they were sincerely concerned I canceled several things I had scheduled to be home for the arrival of the photographer. He has not come yet.
My husband and I are senior/retired citizens living on a small income and cannot afford these unforeseen expenses. UPS has hurt us by their lack of responsibility andcompassion and concern for their customers.

First delivery attempt made 12/19/2008 @ 3:28pm. A notice/slip was never left indicating an attempt was made. Knowledge of delivery attempt was known through online tracking.

At 5:46pm (12/19), called UPS to track package for pick up at UPS center. UPS said a representative would call within the hour to confirm the time of pickup.

At 6:55pm (12/19), called UPS again to state that a representative from the center had never called. An attempt was made to change the delivery method to have the package sent to an alternate address with a doorman. UPS said, such an attempt would push back the delivery date (earliest delivery would be on 12/23). Therefore, I told UPS I would rather pick up the package the next day at their center.

At 9:41am (12/20), called UPS to confirm package was at the location specified. They said a representative from the center would call within the hour. I was told that if I did not receive a phone call that I can be assured that the package would be at the location since a request was made from the night before.

At 12:24pm (12/20), called UPS again since they had never called me to confirm my package would be at the center. I needed a confirmation from them since I would be using my lunch hour from work and renting a car. I was assured yet again that the package would be there.

About 1:45pm (12/20), an attempt to pick up the package at the specified location... the agent had said that a second delivery attempt was made to my apartment. The package "was never pulled from the truck" despite several calls to UPS.

At 1:58pm (12/20), called UPS to complain regarding the situation. I changed the address to have the package delivered to my friend's address with a doorman. A promise was made that the package would be delivered on 12/22/2008. I was also told that I would receive a phone call to confirm delivery.

As of yet, I have NEVER received a phone call from UPS.
